WORKSHOPS FOR EDUCATIONAL PROFESSIONALS
These workshops are focused on providing educators with psychoeducation on issues that impact them in the classroom and provides practical strategies to support their practice and own well-being.

These workshops:
Provide an introduction to trauma in children and how this can potentially show up in the classroom
Discuss trauma-informed approaches in education
Introduces the concept of secondary trauma and strategies for self-care and adaptive coping educators can use in the classroom
WORKSHOPS FOR HEALTH, WELLNESS AND SERVICE PROVIDERS
These workshops are focused on providing psychoeducation and practical strategies to support the well-being of professionals in the health, esthetics and wellness industry.

These workshops:
Provides an understanding of the impacts of hearing clients difficult stories and explore strategies to use to manage these impacts
Supports the development of improved boundaries between work and personal life
Helps to better understand reactions to stresses experienced at work and how to approach these differently
WORKSHOPS FOR FIRST RESPONDERS
These workshops are focused on providing psychoeducation on the impacts of trauma and stressors experienced by those working as first responders.

These workshops:
Provides education on the biopsychosocial impact of trauma and work related stress experienced as a first responder
Strategies to create boundaries between work and personal life
Strategies to promote well-being to manage daily work stressors more effectively

CONSULTATION
We also offer consultation to better understand concerns specific to your workplace that are impacting the well being of employees and strive to provide workshops that fit each organization's needs.
ABOUT US
Dr. Laura Klubben & Dr. Lucy Gofton
Both Dr. Klubben and Dr. Gofton have extensive experience providing treatment to those negatively impacted by work place challenges and stressors. Given this they are interested in providing preventative strategies to support employee wellness.

Dr. Laura Klubben & Dr. Lucy Gofton have both received their PhDs in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia and are registered with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia.
​
In their clinical work, Drs. Gofton and Klubben work with clients dealing with trauma disorders, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD); mood and anxiety disorders; chronic pain; disordered sleep; life transitions and adjustment issues; motivation and procrastination issues; family of origin issues; self-esteem and self-confidence issues.
